Haroon Mirza

Haroon Mirza creates sculptures, performances and immersive installations to explore the interplay and friction between sound, light waves and electric current. His work employs household electronics, vinyl and turntables, LEDs, furniture, video footage and found objects.

The artist donated three works for #100NHSRooms, about which he writes: “The word ‘save’ that features in the piece is intended as an open-ended proposition. The NHS hospital context offers a few possible interpretations along with the material of the piece. Damaged photovoltaic cells used in solar panels suggest an ecological dimension.”
