‘As the countdown to Christmas swings into view, Vital Arts stages Material Worlds, an exciting group exhibition of diverse and collectable contemporary art’
Two of London’s most important hospitals present a group show across their refurbished gallery spaces, featuring beautiful new work with a strong material element.
From Sarah Bridgland’s exploded staple boxes to Chisato Tamabayashi’s vibrant folding books, the diverse works in this ten-strong exhibition offer up the skilled trace of each artist’s hand as an intriguing entry point into their imaginary worlds.

Many of the works are for sale, with 33% of proceeds supporting Vital Arts’ programme of arts activities across Barts Health NHS Trust. In addition, Vital Arts has collaborated with Anka Dabrowska to produce editions of three of her works, featured in Material Worlds. Dabrowska’s beautifully assured drawings of urban scenes, rendered onto lush wallpaper samples, have been reproduced as full colour archive quality A4 prints, limited to 25 editions and signed by the artist.
