With nearly 30 years experience of commissioning contemporary art and live arts programming, the Vital Arts team has created and delivered innovative, high quality art programmes for both public and corporate sector clients, too.
This included:
– Arts projects that link to healthcare
– Contemporary art collection development
– Site-specific public art commissioning
– Live arts, arts education and participation programming
– Professional development for arts and health professionals
– Art strategies, research and feasibility studies
– Development of limited edition artists’ prints, multiples and publications
All the funds raised from our consultancy strand went back into funding our public art programme for Barts Health NHS Trust.
CATHEDRAL GROUP
Vital Arts worked in partnership with Cathedral Group PLC, a forward thinking mixed-use regeneration property developers based in the UK (now U + I PLC) . Vital Arts worked on developing proposals for Cathedral Group’s St Marks Square project with a trio of creative talent – Martino Gamper, Morag Myerscough and Peter Liversidge.
Work has also begun on developing the arts strategy for Cathedral’s Circus St Brighton project in collaboration with South East Dance and The University of Brighton.

LOOK AHEAD HOUSING
Vital Arts, Studio Myerscough and Yemisi Blake were delighted to work with Look Ahead Care and Support to provide arts consultancy for a new arts strategy for Hopkinson House.
Look Ahead Care and Support work in partnership with local authorities and health trusts to provide specialist support and care services to help around 6,000 people across London and the South East each year. People who for a variety of reasons may need some extra support to achieve their goals, realise their dreams and live independently.
THE BARKANTINE HEALTH CENTRE TOWER HAMLETS PCT

Vital Arts worked with Tower Hamlets Primary Care Trust to deliver an art strategy to enhance the new Barkantine Health Centre, (incorporating the Barkantine Birth Centre). In consultation with users and service providers, Vital Arts commissioned a series of vibrant and beautifully crafted artworks that focused on the natural world, vitality and hand-making. We also curated and purchased a new art collection for the Centre from leading contemporary artists for display throughout patient areas.
