The Friends Music Project
A group of musicians perform in the entrance of The Royal London Hospital
The Friends Music Project is intended to cheer those using the hospital. All the musicians are volunteers. Theycome from many different backgrounds & they provide varied music. Some have a limited repertoire and some are experts. The project has benefited from music presented by school children, hospital patients & staff, QMUL, students from the music colleges and amateur & professional musicians. All contributions are welcome providing the music being offered is suitable for a hospital environment. The recitals take place in the Foyer, in the 5th Floor Cafe and on the wards. If you would like to contribute to the programme please email: friendsrlh@gmail.com

Friends of The Royal London Hospital
Friends of The Royal London Hospital was established in November 1979. While great advances in medicine and surgery had occurred since the inauguration of the National Health Service in 1948, the less dramatic aspects of care concerned with the patients’ environment and comfort were not a priority. The Friends were set up to provide those aspects of care so important for the peace of mind of our patients.
