Shezad Dawood

Shezad Dawood works across the disciplines of painting, film and digital media to explore notions of storytelling and building communities and networks. As a long-time resident of east London, Dawood was passionate in developing #100NHSRooms with Vital Arts and Modern Forms in a drive to bring the artistic community together to create works for staff in the Barts Health NHS Trust.

Recent solo exhibitions include: MOCA Toronto (2019); Frieze LIVE, London (2019); Kunstverein, Munich (2019); and A Lost Future: Rubin Museum of Art, New York (2018). Recent group exhibitions include: Dhaka Art Summit, Bangladesh (2020); Sharjah Biennial 14, UAE (2019); Gwangju Biennale, Gwangju, South Korea (2018); and Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2016).
